Distributing announces the latest innovation in tailgate accessories for work and
play – The Step Gate®.
Accessing the bed of your pickup truck has never been easier or safer with the
new Step Gate®. The Step Gate® unfolds to provide a handy step midway between
the ground and the truck bed. Simply open the tailgate, swing the step down
into position grab the handle and step up. The position of the handle allows
you to step down either forwards or backwards. The handle and step combination
provides stability to confidently enter and exit the bed of your truck with
ease.
The Step Gate® is easy to self-install on any year or model pickup truck’s
regular tailgate with the included mounting hardware and drill bit. Made of
high-strength square steel tubing with a black powder-coat finish, the Step
Gate® has been tested successfully to accommodate a 400 lb. person.
The unit is reversible, allowing it to me mounted on either side of the
tailgate. The unit can be mounted in conjunction with truck bed toolboxes,
liners and most bed covers. The Step Gate® does not interfere with the trucks
ability to pull a trailer. With the handle and step attached, the tailgate is
free to close and the Step Gate® folds out of the way inside the truck bed,
ready to use instantly the next time you need to access your truck bed. The
compact design does not reduce the cargo area and is not visible when the
tailgate is closed. The quick release allows the step and handle to be removed
in seconds if the entire truck bed or tailgate is needed.
More than a step, the Step Gate® is designed to help transport items safely and
securely. Use the specially designed step bracket to anchor long pipe, lumber,
or even a propane bottle.
